Storage at the greenhouse
At the commercial greenhouse Via Handelsträdgård, south of Stockholm, three ZOE batteries with a combined 300 kW are steered and optimized by Qurrent, active across several ancillary service markets.

In Tungelsta, south of Stockholm, a commercial greenhouse has added battery storage to make more of its grid connection. Three ZOE batteries totalling 300 kW, supplied by Emaldo, are connected to Qurrent's smart energy platform for control and optimization.
To counterbalance the variability of renewable energy, commercial and industrial batteries like this one are increasingly adopted by businesses, both to optimize their own energy use and to earn an income by offering flexibility to the grid.
Through Qurrent's network of balance-responsible parties, the site reaches additional energy and ancillary-service markets, and Qurrent's platform trades automatically on the owner's behalf. Alongside spot trading, the batteries are active across several ancillary service markets, including FCR-N, FCR-D, FFR and both mFRR capacity and energy.
Over 12 months of active market participation, the site has made more than 3,500 MWh of flexibility available to Svenska kraftnät.
